Spark WhatsApp Chat & Abandoned Cart ("the App") provides automated WhatsApp notification services (order confirmations, shipping updates, abandoned cart recovery) and a customer chat interface to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
Shop name, email, phone number, and primary domain to identify your account and provide customer support.
Names, phone numbers, shipping addresses, and order details (product names, prices, totals) via Shopify APIs and Webhooks.
We access your theme settings to integrate the floating chat button and widgets.
Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:
We store records of WhatsApp messages sent, including the recipient's phone number, message content, and timestamp, to provide usage history and billing services.
We temporarily store checkout information (customer phone, cart contents, checkout URL) to schedule and send recovery messages.
If you use our Managed Service Plan, we track message usage counts for billing purposes.
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies:
We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:
We share your Personal Information with third parties to help us use your Personal Information, as described above. Specifically:
We send message content and recipient phone numbers to Meta's WhatsApp Business API to deliver notifications to your customers.
As the developer of the App, Valventus has access to data for maintenance, support, and providing the Managed Service infrastructure.
Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
We maintain Message Logs and Scheduled Messages for a limited period to ensure service reliability and provide usage reports. You may request the deletion of this data at any time by uninstalling the App or contacting us. Abandoned cart data is used only for the purpose of recovery attempts and is not permanently archived for other uses.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
